Key Responsibilities
- Accomplishing manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, coaching, counselling, and when necessary, disciplining employees.
- Selecting, onboarding, training and mentoring employees.
- Completing production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Managing the accuracy of timesheets.
- Collaborating with various groups to identify cost reduction initiatives that will maintain or improve quality, reliability and manufacturing cycle time.
- Working with the Safety group to create, evaluate and promote the managing of the hazards of the operations via Job Hazards Assessments.
- Reviewing and controlling the resources for the correct and timely execution of work orders and consequently finish goods.
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Post secondary education in business administration or related field.
- Proven working knowledge of Lean concepts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Superior organization, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS suite, particularly with Excel.
- Electrical, welding, refrigeration or sheet metal experience.
