Use bench fitting and stick welding skills onsite in Calgary, assembling pressure vessel components within a gas compression systems shop.
This contract-to-hire Bench Fitter works within a pressure vessel team. The work includes fitting, fabrication, welding, and compression system assembly. You will interpret drawings, handle process pipe components, and operate overhead cranes. The position supports production quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Fit and assemble components at a dedicated bench station
- Interpret drawings and blueprints for precise welding
- Weld pressure vessel and process pipe components
- Operate overhead cranes to position compression system components
- Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas
- Journeyman Welder certification
- 25 years of Bench Fitter experience
- Pressure vessel or process piping fabrication experience
- Stick welding and back welding experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety procedures
