We are seeking a full-time, employee for a client seeking to add a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to their team. This role is located in the deep SE of Calgary and is required on-site daily. Events will often take place on evenings and weekend and the successful candidate must be available for these.

Social Media Support
  • Draft, schedule, and publish approved content across social media channels
  • Maintain and update the social media content calendar, ensuring posts, campaigns, and event communications are accurately tracked and organized
  • Monitor comments and direct messages, escalating inquiries as needed
  • Track social media metrics and assist with monthly performance reporting
  • Organize and maintain content libraries, including photo and video assets and posting tools
Marketing & Communications Coordination
  • Assist with the development, editing, and proofreading of marketing materials, newsletters, and website updates
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Events, Competitions, Sponsorship, Guest Services) to gather content and information
  • Support onsite event activity, including content coordination, shot lists, content notes, and collaboration with internal and external media partners
  • Apply strong visual judgment when selecting and organizing photography and creative assets for social media, newsletters, and marketing use
  • Maintain marketing calendars, key deadlines, and campaign timelines to ensure smooth execution
Administrative Support
  • Support approval processes, file organization, naming conventions, and version control
  • Assist with vendor and contractor communications
  • Help prepare sponsorship fulfillment documentation, including photos, screenshots, and content logs
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing & Communications team
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, marketing coordination, communications, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools
  • Comfortable coordinating content and working with photo and design assets
  • Strong visual judgment and an understanding of what performs well across social media and newsletters
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work onsite, including event weekends as required
  • Experience in hospitality, events, or restaurants is considered an asset
  • Collaborative, proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced, in-person environment and is eager to learn
