Make an impact with our Regional Marketing team as a Regional Marketing Manager – Calgary Office. Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing
Work with the Regional Managing Partners (RMPs) in Calgary, service line and client group leaders within the regions to understand their business objectives and translate these into marketing strategies, plans and activities which drive our brand awareness and positioning and create sales opportunities for our practitioners in CalgaryCollaborate with the Western Canada Regional Marketing team including: the Senior Director Marketing, Western Canada, other Western Marketing team members and the National Marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns and in-market activities for the local market. Organize client prospect programs in conjunction with internal resources and internal marketing-related initiativesLead the annual marketing plan and budget development, to drive our brand awareness and market positioning, and create sales opportunities for our practitionersMeasure, understand and report on the impact of marketing activities; analyze reporting information and make recommendations/adjustments to plans and programs where necessaryManage and monitor marketing budgets, analyzing variances between planned and actual spend and recommend correct actions, as necessaryDevelop and execute strategies for internal awareness to stakeholders of solutions relevant to other regions and niches to promote cross-sellingBuild strategic alliances and foster marketing relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace including with associations, boards, influencers, media, and the communityOrganize client prospect programs in conjunction with internal resources and internal marketing-related initiativesDevelop creative campaign briefs, lead concept development and executionIdentify, negotiate and manage strategic sponsorships of all sizesMaintain brand and positioning with MNP properties and utilize marketing materials and collateral including promotional items, brochures, and tradeshow equipmentLeadership
Manage, mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptlyConduct formal, written annual performance reviews for direct reportsGather and interpret insights and assess the competitive environment, MNP market share and brand positioningMaintain awareness of changes to regional marketplaces, study economic indicators in the regions and identify current and future market and industry trendsUnderstand vendor arrangements/structures and develop and maintain those relationshipsAdhere to firm processes and best practices, including the use of consistent marketing and budget templatesContribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve marketing processesSkills and Experience
Completion of a post-secondary degree in Marketing (or equivalent / similar)Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a marketing management capacity and a demonstrated understanding of the entire marketing processExperience working in a professional services environment or marketing agency environment considered an assetUnderstanding and experience working in the local marketplace is an assetUnderstanding of how to build and reinforce effective working relationships within and across teams and with key stakeholdersStrong Project Management skillsPossess strong presentation and reporting skillsPossess business development skills and knowledgeStrong computer literacy including effective working skills of Database MarketingSoftware and Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point Experience with web, digital and social media platformsA valid driver’s license is necessary
