Position: Marketing Manager Contract Maternity Leave Cover (18 mos)

Team & Role

Marketing is a critical function that drives growth for each of our restaurants. We love solving challenges, sharing unforgettable stories, creating memorable hospitality moments, and of course, enjoying delicious food and refreshing drinks. We need a leader to manage national brand initiatives, including menu features, brand campaigns and liquor partnerships for all three growing brands.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and being ingrained in the businesses for CHOP Steakhouse, Tavern Collective & Shark Club, this role will be responsible for leading a small team of two marketing professionals and two graphic designers, all while driving each brand forward with innovative programming, initiatives and strategic direction.

Responsibilities
  • Create the National Marketing Campaign Calendar across the Canadian market.
  • Develop marketing briefs, media buy briefs, channel plans, workbacks, copy and creative direction across master brand and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (GMs, Operations, Culinary, Franchisees) to ensure adequate planning, execution and monitoring of marketing activities.
  • Work in partnership with external agencies and liquor partners to execute campaigns and projects.
  • Lead the management and execution of integrated marketing campaigns with cross‑functional marketing teams (Email, Social, Website, Digital, Menus) and agencies to bring the brief from concept to final execution.
  • Partner with media agency and lead internal teams to plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social, digital, email, OOH, radio, in store, etc.) to optimize future campaigns and strategies.
  • Manage the fiscal budget for all national initiatives, including quarterly reconciliation, to ensure we stay within the budget.
  • Partner with Sr. Leaders to develop the annual strategic plan and budget.
  • Maintain awareness of best practice marketing techniques/tools to achieve relevant & successful campaigns and promotions.
About You
  • You have 7 to 10 years of relevant marketing, brand, or communications experience.
  • Agency experience is an asset.
  • You have a strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, Social and CRM.
  • You are a project management pro; you’re organized and can manage multiple projects with changing timelines, and managing numerous campaigns at once is no sweat.
  • You are highly collaborative, fostering relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • You are a team leader; keeping the team motivated, engaged, and continually developing them.
  • You are a great communicator; articulate and confident in front of an audience, including executives, peers, franchise partners and ops teams.
  • You are data-focused; you collect, analyze and leverage data to continuously optimize.
  • You are a self‑starter; you relish the opportunity to identify needs and take initiative to act.
  • You are value‑driven at your core, operating with integrity, honesty, and trust.
  • You love the unknown and can adapt to changes, ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • You are aware of key sports and pop‑culture events.
  • Previous restaurant experience is an asset.
