Communications Officer Volunteer

Position: Communications Officer Volunteer at Cuso International
Make an impact in the Caribbean as a Communications Officer Volunteer with Cuso International in Kingston, Jamaica. This position focuses on amplifying LGBTQIA+ advocacy through effective communication strategies starting in July 2026.

For five months, you will develop communication plans, produce impactful content, and enhance social media engagement for advocacy initiatives. Collaborating closely with local organizations, you will also train staff to improve their strategic communications skills, fostering inclusivity and rights awareness throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft and implement impactful communication plans

• Generate content for reports, newsletters, and social media

• Strengthen partner organizations' social media presence

• Train local staff on messaging and advocacy

• Engage with donors to build support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Communications, Media, or similar field

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

• Strong writing and content creation abilities

• Skilled in simplifying complex information

• Experience in gender equality and advocacy preferred
