We’re looking for someone who knows how to turn those moments into visibility, trust, and growth.
Where You’ll Make Your Mark  Storytelling & Content Creation   Capture photos and videos across our veterinary hospital and pet facility on a regular basis
Create engaging content that highlights patient care, pet experiences, team expertise, and meaningful outcomes
Turn everyday moments into stories that build trust, connection, and interest
Use Canva or other editing tools to produce polished, high‑quality content
Maintain a consistent posting rhythm aligned with platform best practices
Audience Growth & Brand Awareness   Grow audience reach and brand awareness using platform algorithms, performance insights, engaging storytelling, and strategic amplification opportunities
Use tagging, partnerships, collaborations, trends, and timely content to extend reach beyond our current audience
Track performance metrics and refine strategy to improve engagement and visibility
Support campaigns, promotions, and paid social initiatives with the marketing team
Community Engagement   Build strong relationships within Calgary’s pet community
Maintain an active presence in relevant Facebook groups and community platforms where pet owners seek recommendations and advice
Keep a strong pulse on what is happening in Calgary’s animal, veterinary, and rescue communities, and identify opportunities to engage, support, and increase visibility
Build connections with rescues, influencers, pet brands, and local organizations
Support media opportunities when applicable
Promote and capture content for events before, during, and after
Communication & Ownership   Monitor all social media inboxes, comments, and engagement channels daily
Respond to inquiries in a timely, professional, and helpful manner
Prioritize urgent messages appropriately during business hours
Maintain a warm, knowledgeable, and brand‑aligned tone
Initiative & Accountability   Organize your day effectively and manage priorities independently
Identify stories and opportunities proactively
Work collaboratively with busy teams to gather information and content
Maintain high standards of spelling, grammar, accuracy, and follow‑through
Bring solutions, momentum, and consistency to the role each day
Know how to grow a brand on social media
