Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35‑hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

We’re looking for a Communications Copywriter to join our Claims Communications team on a contract basis, based in Calgary (hybrid). This is an exciting opportunity to support a key claims reform initiative in Alberta, with a primary focus on reviewing communications templates while contributing to clear, engaging content across the project.
What you’ll do here:- Review communications templates to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in existing templates and recommend edits as needed
- Write and edit communications content as needed
- Translate complex claims and regulatory information into simple, accessible language
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure templates are fit for purpose and reflect the latest information
- Support the delivery of communications from draft through to final approval
- A university graduate with a degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Approximately 2-4 years in communications, copywriting, or a related field
- Experience in insurance or financial services is an asset
- Detail-oriented and thorough, with a strong eye for consistency, accuracy, and tone across communications content
- A collaborative team player who takes initiative, communicates proactively, and manages multiple deliverables with ease
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities shift
- No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
