Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta (JASA) is seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Events & Partnerships Coordinator (EPC) to support the successful delivery of events and the growth of regional revenue streams.

The EPC is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating events across Southern Alberta while actively contributing to fund development through sponsor ships, partnerships, and grant support. This role plays a critical function in ensuring that events are not only operationally successful but also contribute meaningfully to JASA’s revenue goals and community impact.

Working closely with the Manager, Fund Development and cross‑functional teams, the EPC supports the full lifecycle of partnerships and funding initiatives, while ensuring all activities align with JASA’s strategic priorities, brand standards, and commitment to delivering programs free of charge to schools.

Key Responsibilities

A. Event Planning, Execution & Revenue Integration
  • In partnership with the Programs team, plan and execute regional events, including program delivery and fundraising initiatives.
  • Integrate fundraising strategies into events, including sponsorship activation and donor engagement.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venues, catering, and in‑kind contributions.
  • Coordinate with post‑secondary institutions and internal teams to support event delivery.
  • Secure and coordinate volunteers and mentors required for successful event execution.
  • Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders before and after events.
  • Track and record event data, participation, and outcomes in Salesforce.
B. Partnership Development & Revenue Generation
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate sponsors, community partners, and donors.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Support proposal development, sponsorship packages, and funding requests.
  • Ensure timely stewardship, recognition, and reporting to partners.
  • Contribute to achieving revenue targets tied to events and regional initiatives.
C. Fund Development & Grant Support
  • Research and support grant opportunities aligned with JASA programming and priorities.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications, including proposals and budgets.
  • Gather program data and impact metrics to support funding applications and reporting.
  • Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of funding activity in Salesforce.
D. Marketing & Communications Support
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to support event promotion and donor messaging.
  • Contribute to sponsorship materials, event collateral, and impact storytelling.
  • Provide content and insights for social media, impact storytelling, and post‑event reporting.
  • Ensure all communications align with JASA brand standards.
E. Administration & Reporting
  • Monitor event budgets and support alignment with revenue goals.
  • Track and report on revenue generated through events, partnerships, and grants.
  • Maintain accurate records and data integrity within Salesforce.
  • Participate in team meetings and organizational initiatives as required.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of events, partnerships, and fund development activities.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Post‑secondary education in business, nonprofit management, event management, marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, fundraising, partnerships, or nonprofit development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce (or similar).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including donors, volunteers, educators, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Knowledge of the Southern Alberta community landscape is considered an asset.
