Philanthropy Officer at United Way

As a key member reporting to the Manager - Major Gifts, this position emphasizes relationship management with mid-level and major donors. Your skills in individual gift fundraising will be essential in supporting various fundraising activities, including events which may occur on evenings and weekends. You'll also work closely with volunteers and donors to enhance our mission further.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support prospecting efforts for mid-level and major donations

• Build strong relationships with donors and volunteers

• Track donor communications through a CRM tool

• Collaborate with Individual Giving and Corporate Accounts teams

• Meet and exceed fundraising goals for your assigned portfolio

Requirements:

• Proven experience in individual fundraising initiatives

• Strong understanding of donor needs and fundraising principles

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Knowledge of charitable giving tax laws

• Post-secondary education is preferred
