The Indigenous Engagement Coordinator reports to the Manager, Indigenous Relations, and plays a crucial role in Black Diamond's community relations initiatives. With 2-5 years of relevant experience, the ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with Indigenous nations, handle strategic development plans, and ensure culturally respectful communication across business units.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster collaboration with Indigenous Nations and communities
• Coordinate meetings with Chiefs and community representatives
• Support Indigenous employment and training initiatives
• Draft Indigenous participation and socioeconomic strategies
• Attend and report on strategic conferences and events
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Sciences, Sustainability, or related field
• 2-5 years working with Indigenous communities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with project management experience
• Computer literacy in Microsoft programs
