Director of Development at University

Shape the future of fundraising at the University of Calgary as the Associate Director within the Haskayne School of Business. You'll lead initiatives focused on major gifts and strengthen donor relationships.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with university leadership and engage with prospective donors to advance philanthropic support. Your experience in fundraising or business development will be critical to identifying new opportunities and preparing persuasive materials that clearly communicate the value of contributions. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead fundraising strategies for major gifts and donations

• Manage donor relationships through effective cultivation and engagement

• Identify new philanthropic opportunities aligned with university objectives

• Develop compelling fundraising communications and proposals

• Collaborate with faculty and volunteers on initiatives

Requirements:

• Degree or relevant education with 3 years in related roles

• Strong relationship-building skills with donors and stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Able to navigate complex organizational structures

• Results-driven and highly organized in project management
