Your role centers on patient care and collaboration, ensuring a holistic approach to health.
In this position, the Licensed Practical Nurse will work closely with patients and their families, providing effective healthcare services across the lifespan. This includes rooming patients, performing essential tests, and effectively triaging both in-person and over the phone. By utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, you'll deliver safe and patient-centered nursing care tailored to community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in rooming patients for assessments
• Perform glucose, vision, and pregnancy tests
• Triage patients through face-to-face and calls
• Follow up on patient care and offer teaching
• Ensure safe, quality nursing aligned with practice standards
Requirements:
• Accredited practical nurse education completion
• Registration with College of Licensed Practical Nurses and HCAs of Alberta
• Current BCLS – Health Care Provider certification
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records, Med Access preferred
• Understanding of Alberta's health initiatives
Contribute to health promotion and maintenance as an essential LPN on our team.
