The role involves implementing policies and procedures, alongside Registered Nurses, to ensure compliance and excellence in care. You'll be responsible for effective communication with physicians regarding significant changes in residents’ health. By guiding Personal Support Workers, you contribute to a collaborative care environment and support a culture of trust and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement nursing procedures in collaboration with Registered Nurses
• Guide Personal Support Workers in care provision
• Notify physicians of any notable changes in resident conditions
• Participate in shift briefings with the healthcare team
• Adhere to all health-related regulations and statutes
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Experience in geriatrics or rehabilitation nursing
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and acts
• Active membership with the College of Nurses
• Strong commitment to exceptional patient care and teamwork
