The Libin Cardiovascular Institute invites applications for a Nurse Clinician focusing on cardiomyopathy care. This role combines specialized nursing with patient education in a collaborative environment.
In this part-time, fixed-term position, you will provide comprehensive nursing support to patients and families impacted by cardiomyopathies. Collaborate with a dedicated team to create tailored care plans while guiding patients through lifestyle changes and treatment options. Your expertise will also contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient-centered care for genetic cardiomyopathies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for effective care planning
• Educate patients about their condition and treatment choices
• Coordinate follow-ups and necessary referrals
• Mentor staff and engage in quality improvement projects
Requirements:
• Current RN license in Alberta
• Bachelor of Nursing (BN) required
• At least two years in cardiology nursing experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Preference for candidates with genetic cardiomyopathy experience
