Sessional Nursing Instructor - University

Become a Sessional Nursing Instructor at the University of Calgary for the  academic terms. This role focuses on teaching undergraduate clinical courses in Bonnyville, providing both onsite and remote instruction experience.

The University of Calgary Faculty of Nursing is seeking qualified instructors with clinical teaching experience in rural and community healthcare settings. You’ll facilitate low to mid-fidelity simulations, evaluate student performance, and foster a supportive learning environment. Applicants should have nursing practice experience and be eligible for registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate onsite and remote simulation activities

• Conduct classes for nursing students in various settings

• Participate in assessments and evaluations of students

• Engage in team meetings for course governance

• Apply innovative teaching strategies in clinical education

Requirements:

• Eligible for nursing registration in Alberta

• Experience in clinical teaching and mentorship

• Understanding of adult learning principles

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with Indigenous health practices and mentorship
