Be a pivotal part of Calgary's Eating Disorder Program at Foothills Medical Centre as a Registered Nurse. Leverage your nursing skills to provide essential support and care to patients and their families.
This role, under the guidance of the Eating Disorder Manager, requires expertise in psychiatric assessments and crisis intervention, focusing on patient-centered care. As a Registered Nurse, you will engage in individual and group therapy sessions, aiding patients during their treatment processes. Your diverse skill set will contribute to high-quality education, treatment, and medical monitoring of individuals struggling with eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medical monitoring of patients during treatment
• Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments
• Facilitate group therapy and meal support sessions
• Educate patients and families about eating disorders
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
Requirements:
• Accreditation in nursing education and CRNA eligibility
• 1-3 years of psychiatric and medical assessment experience
• Familiarity with eating disorder complications
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
