Elevate community health as a Public Health Nurse based in Claresholm, supporting Vulcan and Nanton. Lead vaccination, screening, and advocacy efforts while practicing independently.
This casual Registered Nurse position emphasizes autonomy in promoting and preserving individual and community health. You will engage in preventive measures, client advocacy, and collaboration with health professionals to support community capacity building. Your impactful role includes assessing health determinants and responding to regulatory mandates within a Population Health Model.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct community and health assessments routinely
• Implement immunization and communicable disease prevention
• Advocate for client health and well-being
• Facilitate coordination among health service agencies
• Collect and document client data for quality improvement
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse degree with active CRNA permit
• 1 year experience in relevant nursing specialties
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Proficient in electronic documentation at point of care
Deliver essential nursing services while ensuring community health and wellness as a Public Health Nurse.
