Position: Nurse Needed for Donor Centre
Become a key player at Canadian Blood Services as a part-time Donor Centre Nurse in Calgary, AB. Support blood collection initiatives while ensuring a positive donor experience and adhering to safety protocols.

This Temporary part-time role within the Collections Operations West team requires you to engage with donors, assess their eligibility, and assist in blood product collections. Your nursing background will help you provide essential advice and support to both donors and staff, promoting an encouraging atmosphere for donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely collect blood and blood components from donors

• Conduct confidential screenings and donor registration

• Educate and assist donors throughout the donation process

• Lead collection events and mentor donor center staff

• Set up mobile donation sites in community events

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with an accredited nursing diploma

• Valid nursing license in good standing

• At least two years of nursing experience is beneficial

• First Aid and CPR certification recommended

• Excellent interpersonal skills for donor communication
