Registered Nurse, Teletriage – Health Link
The Health Link Team has an opportunity for an energetic, passionate, and experienced Registered Nurse looking for a change in how care is delivered where you will be utilizing your robust communication skills, extensive nursing knowledge and diverse work background. The RN will be responsible for providing telephone triage services, offering health advice and information to callers across Alberta, evaluating patients using clinical software, diverse databases, and clinical protocols.
They will triage and counsel patients dealing with diverse concerns and deliver high-quality, precise health advice in a contact care setting.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, teaching, counseling and advocating on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance, providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care.

Required Qualifications:• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years: completion of the free courses CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1-4 and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of three to five years recent experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting, with experience in diverse clinical areas requiring advanced assessment skills, critical thinking and probing skills.
• Recent experience working with diverse client populations and clinical issues including emergency, pediatrics, maternal/child, medical/surgical and critical care.
• Ability to work under high call volume and stress in a contact center, proficient with computer databases, minimum typing speed of 35 WPM and intermediate computer skills.
• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience interacting with clients over the telephone is also preferred.
PLEASE NOTE:
Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.
