Your Opportunity

Hanna Health Centre is searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care in a medical inpatient acute care setting. The Hanna Health Centre is comprised of a 24‑hour Emergency Department, a 12‑bed Acute Care ward, and a 61‑bed Long Term Care facility. You must be able to work in collaboration with a multi‑disciplinary team, have the ability to assess, coordinate, administer and evaluate services.

Demonstration of current nursing knowledge, efficiency, communication and team skills are required. You will accept responsibility for continuing competences through ongoing professional development, including participation in education and orientation and continuous quality improvement activities. You will follow nursing standards/protocols as required. The LPN is responsible and accountable to the public for his/her own practice according to the standards defined by CLPNA.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision‑making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Minimum: $33.16 - Maximum: $43.42

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

• Rural Nurse Connect Care Training
• 1 year of Acute Care Experience in the last 3 years
• ED experience an asset
• ACLS preferred
• CTAS preferred
