Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Overview  We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dermatology clinic team, which includes 4 LPNs, 1 MOA, and 4 physicians. Our clinic focuses on skin cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
This position is 0.6 - 1 FTE, depending on scheduling flexibility, and shifts include Mon-Fri 8-4 pm, with some evening and Saturday shifts starting in January.
Responsibilities   Accurately charting for the physicians
Filling out necessary laboratory requisitions
Preparing and cleaning rooms
Setting up trays for surgery
Administering local anesthetics
Assisting in surgical procedures
Reprocessing instruments
Helping out with reception duties and contacting patients regarding results
Assisting with scheduling appointments and procedures
Restocking supplies including some minor lifting
Assisting with software training for new users
Acquiring Total Body Photography and dermoscopic images
Qualifications   Possess a professional appearance, personable demeanor, and strong clinical skills
Be curious, willing to learn and acquire new skills
Preferably have experience with TELUS Med Access EMR
Possess excellent computer and communication skills
Be able to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment
Be able to multitask while paying attention to detail
Be reliable, accountable, and responsible
