Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dermatology clinic team, which includes 4 LPNs, 1 MOA, and 4 physicians. Our clinic focuses on skin cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.

This position is 0.6 - 1 FTE, depending on scheduling flexibility, and shifts include Mon-Fri 8-4 pm, with some evening and Saturday shifts starting in January.

• Accurately charting for the physicians
• Filling out necessary laboratory requisitions
• Preparing and cleaning rooms
• Setting up trays for surgery
• Administering local anesthetics
• Assisting in surgical procedures
• Reprocessing instruments
• Helping out with reception duties and contacting patients regarding results
• Assisting with scheduling appointments and procedures
• Restocking supplies including some minor lifting
• Assisting with software training for new users
• Acquiring Total Body Photography and dermoscopic images

• Possess a professional appearance, personable demeanor, and strong clinical skills
• Be curious, willing to learn and acquire new skills
• Preferably have experience with TELUS Med Access EMR
• Possess excellent computer and communication skills
• Be able to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment
• Be able to multitask while paying attention to detail
• Be reliable, accountable, and responsible
