Position: Calgary Donor Centre Nurse Role

In this Temporary part-time role with the Collections Operations West team, you will help facilitate blood collection by performing donor screenings and providing critical guidance to both donors and colleagues. This position is integral to ensuring compliance with safety measures while fostering a welcoming environment for blood donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the collection of whole blood and apheresis components

• Conduct registration and eligibility screenings for donors

• Support donors with necessary information and assistance

• Mentor and lead collection event staff as needed

• Set up for mobile donation events in the community

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program

• Current RN license for Alberta

• Minimum two years of nursing experience encouraged

• Preferred First Aid and CPR certification

• Strong communication skills for effective donor interaction
