As a Transitional Graduate Nurse, you will join an innovative program designed for recent nursing graduates. Over the course of 12 months, you will benefit from a phased approach that includes personalized learning plans and mentorship from experienced RNs. This role allows you to gain essential skills in patient care while working in a supportive and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient and family-centered nursing care
• Participate in a structured Enhanced Orientation phase
• Develop a personalized learning plan with guidance
• Transition to independent practice with ongoing mentorship
• Advocate for patients and promote health and wellness
Requirements:
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program within 12 months
• Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Recent experience on an acute medical unit
• Satisfactory criminal record check required
