The GNTPP is a 12-month program designed for recently graduated Registered Nurses. Participants will experience two phases:
Enhanced Orientation with guidance from a Clinical Guide and Independent Practice with continued support from a mentor. This structured approach helps to bolster confidence while providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services to patients and families
• Educate and advocate for patient needs
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and care
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Experience in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit preferred
