Pediatrics Sessional Nursing Instructor

The University of Calgary is hiring Sessional Nursing Instructors for the Fall and Winter terms to teach NRSG
553 Care in Pediatrics. Successful candidates will engage in both clinical and lab settings while fulfilling teaching responsibilities.

Available for full terms, instructors may work varying schedules that include daytime and evening shifts. Applicants should ideally have clinical teaching experience and be familiar with the nursing education landscape, engaging students effectively both on-campus and online. This role focuses on cultivating a strong learning environment through diverse teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach pediatric nursing practices in clinical and lab settings

• Assess and evaluate student performance and progress

• Collaborate in team meetings to enhance course delivery

• Apply evidence-informed practices in education

• Foster student inquiry and critical thinking skills

Requirements:

• Eligible for registration with Alberta’s nursing college

• Master’s degree or BN/BScN qualification

• Experience in clinical teaching and mentoring

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to manage diverse classroom demands
