Surgical Registered Nurse Relief Team

Join the Regularized Relief Team as a Registered Nurse at Peter Lougheed Centre. This role requires expertise in surgical nursing and teamwork to provide high-quality patient care.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health care team in surgical settings. This role emphasizes leadership in assessment, planning, and implementing care for diverse surgical patients, including those in orthopedic, colorectal, and gynecological fields. Preference is given to candidates with either surgical experience or float pool backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs proactively

• Collaborate with healthcare teams for holistic care

• Provide patient and family education on health matters

• Implement nursing processes for safe care delivery

• Advocate for patients ensuring well-being during treatment

Requirements:

• Accredited nursing education completion mandatory

• Active registration with CRNA is required

• One year of surgical nursing experience within last two years

• Current BCLS-HCP certification mandatory

• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office
