Position: Nurse Practitioner for Community Care
Provide vital primary health care as a Nurse Practitioner at The Alex, focusing on outreach and support for vulnerable populations in Calgary.

This role offers opportunities in addictions and mental health care.

Your responsibilities will involve working on a mobile unit, delivering episodic care while working closely with a peer support team. Thorough assessments and the ability to adapt treatment plans are essential. A strong understanding of social issues will enhance your effectiveness in this collaborative setting. This is a part-time or full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver primary care in various community locations

• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results

• Prescribe medication and manage treatment interventions

• Guide a multidisciplinary team in care protocols

• Collect data for program evaluation and improvement

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta

• Completion of a master’s level Nurse Practitioner program

• Experience in harm reduction and trauma-informed care

• Strong interpersonal skills for building community relationships

• Class 5 driver’s license required with a clean record
