In this essential position, you will oversee Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers, ensuring optimal care within the community. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, you will implement policies, coordinate services, and record significant resident status changes. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring that all nursing duties align with standards set by Age Care and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Age Care policies in daily nursing activities
• Liaise with healthcare providers and respond to residents’ needs
• Supervise nursing staff effectively during shifts
• Document resident changes in accordance with standards
• Administer medications and treatments as required
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Sound knowledge of long-term care nursing practices
• Registration in good standing with provincial registry
• Understanding of relevant healthcare regulations
• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitation nursing preferred
