Registered Practical Nurse - Active Care Unit

Become a part-time Registered Practical Nurse at the ACTIVE CARE NURSING UNIT, serving the Middlesex Hospital Alliance. This temporary role focuses on providing critical patient care during various shifts.

The position is for approximately 1 year and will involve nights, weekends, and emergency services. Candidates must have 2–3 years of prior medical nursing experience and be committed to high standards of care. Your experience in Emergency and Cardiac Care will enhance the quality of service provided to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients in an acute setting

• Participate in all scheduled shifts, including holidays

• Assess patient conditions and documentation accurately

• Engage collaboratively with the nursing team

• Utilize effective organizational skills in high-pressure situations

Requirements:

• Active registration with Ontario’s College of Nurses

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations and recent TB testing

• Previous experience in nursing (2–3 years preferred)

• Familiarity with Triage and Cardiac Care preferred

• Strong computer skills in a Microsoft environment
