We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide essential nursing consultations and develop care strategies for older adults. With a minimum of two years in geriatric mental health, your expertise will help staff manage complex behaviors and foster best practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to streamline transitions between care settings and optimize treatment approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build collaborative relationships with LTC personnel
• Design and implement nursing interventions
• Mentor staff on behavioral management techniques
• Facilitate referrals to relevant resources
• Evaluate quality improvement measures within the service
Requirements:
• Nursing Diploma;
Baccalaureate preferred
• 2+ years experience in geriatric mental health
• Current registration with Ontario's College of Nurses
• Specialized certifications in mental health preferred
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills
