Become a pivotal part of travel health at Passport Health as a Nurse Practitioner. This role emphasizes comprehensive travel health evaluations and patient education.
In this part-time position, you will work on providing evidence-based pre-travel medical care, guiding international travelers through vaccination and medication regimens. Collaborating with Registered Nurses, you’ll ensure clients receive necessary prescriptions while addressing their health inquiries effectively. Knowledge of travel health guidelines is essential to succeed in this vital position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct travel health consultations and assessments
• Educate clients on medication therapy for travel
• Manage prescriptions and send laboratory requests
• Provide vaccinations as needed for safe travel
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care
Requirements:
• Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in Alberta
• State certification to prescribe medications
• Effective planning and execution skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Must be able to work 8 hours weekly (4-hour shifts)
