These patients do have complex and diverse care needs. The RN will be orientated and required to work on both Unit 71 and Unit 72.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.
PLEASE NOTE:
Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional
Required Qualifications:
Current Required Organizational Learning (ROL) required. Recent Charge Nurse Experience and active participation in discharge planning required. A strong understanding of COACT principles. At least 2 years of recent acute medicine nursing experience and strong clinical interest in geriatrics is necessary. Demonstrated ability to work and lead in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients and families in stressful situations.
Must have the necessary skills to work with patients with dementia, brain and spinal cord injuries and patients who have challenging behaviors. Strong clinical and assessment skills necessary (Patient assessment, IV certified, CVC/PICC certified, Foley insertion, and Glucometer certified etc.). Must have excellent interpersonal communication, effective time management and organizational skills required…
