The RN - Critical Care at RGH serves in a pivotal leadership role, focusing on medical and surgical patients in the Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit. You will utilize advanced critical care skills, including participation in Code Blue and Outreach Teams. Engagement in continuous professional development, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives will form key aspects of your practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill individuals
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Mentor and support unit staff in best practices
• Participate in advanced certification roles and charge duties
• Advocate for patient-centered care and resolve conflicts
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Over 3 years of experience in a critical care setting
• Current BCLS-HCP certification
• Proficient in ECG interpretation and necessary critical care competencies
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
