Step into a rewarding role as a Registered Nurse in the Labour and Delivery unit at Peter Lougheed Centre. Provide exceptional perinatal care while engaging effectively with families and the health team.
In our unit, you will be at the forefront of patient care, engaging with approximately 500 births every month. This position demands a proactive approach in assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for expectant mothers and their families. You'll utilize your organizational and interpersonal skills to promote a culture of respect and excellence in care delivery within an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate patient conditions throughout the perinatal journey
• Provide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Facilitate communication with families for holistic support
• Maintain cultural awareness within the team
• Support procedural care in operating and recovery rooms
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized nursing program
• CRNA registration or eligibility
• BCLS-HCP certification required
• Minimum 6 months experience in urban L&D or relevant fields
• Experience in perinatal care and quality improvement initiatives
