As a Registered Nurse, you will empower families in their parenting journey within the Postpartum Community Services team. Focus on health promotion, prevention, and support through direct care and health assessments, operating both in homes and clinical settings.
Your role emphasizes strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and emotional support while working with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for maternal and newborn health initiatives
• Conduct health assessments and educate families
• Facilitate referrals for social risk factors
• Provide direct care within home and clinic settings
• Mentor nursing staff and students in practical skills
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• RN experience in maternal newborn settings within five years
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Proficient in electronic documentation and MS Office
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for patient visits
