Director of Nursing Care Operations

Lead resident care operations at Optima Living through clinical leadership, care planning, regulatory compliance, and person-centered service delivery.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Care oversees daily clinical operations and resident care quality. This leadership role coordinates care plans, documentation, staffing, budgets, and regulatory requirements. It supports safe, evidence-based care while respecting resident dignity, autonomy, and personal choice.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor the clinical team
Oversee daily care routines and clinical operations
Develop and evaluate comprehensive resident care plans
Coordinate staffing, onboarding, evaluations, and education
Investigate incidents and implement quality improvements
Requirements:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing
Current Alberta nursing license through CRNA or CLHA
Minimum one year nursing leadership experience required
Active CPR and First Aid certification
Knowledge of aging, chronic disease, and wellness practices
