Director of Nursing Care Operations

Lead resident care delivery at Optima Living through clinical leadership, care planning, and quality oversight in a senior living community. Guide daily operations with a person-centered approach respecting resident dignity, autonomy, and choice.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Care oversees clinical operations, staffing, budgets, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The position leads care planning, interdisciplinary coordination, resident assessments, and quality improvement. It also supports teams, families, and community partners through responsive communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and guide the clinical team
Develop and evaluate comprehensive resident care plans
Coordinate assessments, move-ins, move-outs, and service planning
Monitor audits, incidents, complaints, risks, and corrective actions
Oversee staffing, onboarding, evaluations, and continuing education
Requirements:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing
Current Alberta CRNA or CLHA practice license
At least one year nursing leadership experience required
Active CPR and First Aid certification
Knowledge of aging, chronic disease, and evidence-based wellness
