Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional
Required Qualifications:
Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, to provide quality care to patients, and to report observations. Immediate experience in acute care is required as well as experience in oncology and/or palliative related care. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education is required. Self directed individual with a positive attitude, and demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, evidenced by performance appraisals and reference checks.
Must be up to full scope of practice with IV medications, PICC care etc. Have an excellent attendance record. Must have advanced authorization through CLPNA for Administering medication via CVC, PICC, and IVAD as well as Administrating Parenteral Nutrition.
