Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing services within competency. The work includes geriatric, rehabilitation, or long term care nursing, resident safety, teamwork, and documentation. Age Care values respect, quality, diversity, and resident individuality.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate nursing and other resident services
Lead shift reports with healthcare team members
Communicate changes in residents' conditions
Maintain resident charts according to required standards
Process physician orders and communicate implementation difficulties
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Geriatric, rehabilitation, or long term care nursing knowledge
Knowledge of applicable nursing and healthcare legislation
Registration and good standing with provincial registry
Understanding of nursing standards of practice
Bring nursing expertise, resident safety awareness, and collaborative care coordination to Age Care Bow Crest in Calgary, Alberta.
