Licensed Practical Nurses deliver resident-focused care at The Journey Club in Westman Village, Calgary, using clinical assessment and medication skills. This casual position supports a home-like setting.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides care within the full LPN scope of practice. The role supports residents, families, and coworkers with respect for individuality and dignity. Experience in gerontology, assisted living, or long-term care is valued.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess resident health needs and record vital signs
- Discuss and document chief health concerns
- Perform tests, injections, medications, dressings, and immunizations
- Direct healthcare aides according to resident and site needs
- Follow occupational health and safety requirements
- Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Current good-standing membership with CLPNA
- Current CPR/BCLS certification for healthcare providers
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 20 kilograms
