Casual Registered Nurse Long Term Care

Provide safe resident care as a Casual Registered Nurse at Age Care Mount Royal in Calgary. Apply nursing judgment, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
The Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Care and supports individual resident needs within competency. This position serves Age Care’s values of respect, teamwork, and quality. It also promotes resident safety, health awareness, and freedom from harm or injury.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate nursing and other resident services within the neighbourhood
Lead shift reports with members of the health care team
Communicate changes in residents’ status to team members
Document significant condition changes according to required standards
Process physician orders and communicate implementation difficulties immediately
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing knowledge
Knowledge of activation, nursing, and personnel administration
Registration and good standing with the provincial registry
Knowledge of applicable nursing home legislation and standards
Bring professional nursing judgment, resident safety focus, and care coordination skills to Age Care Mount Royal’s casual nursing team.
