Overview

The Horse Program at Spruce Meadows is looking to add an experienced Competition Groom to our friendly and hardworking roster. Horse Show experience is a must; FEI experience is an asset. This is a full-time, salary position with health benefits and on-site staff housing is available. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, dedicated, and capable of working well in a team or as an individual.

Evenings and weekend shifts are required along with travel to competitions.

• keeping the stable in top shape

• Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, and have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Prior competition horse experience is a must, show facility experience is a bonus but not a requirement.
• Applicants must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects like square bales, jump standards, poles, etc.
• Ability to problem solve and exhibit conflict resolution skills
• Grooms living on-site will be housed in renovated apartments with all amenities and have access to a staff vehicle. We apologize, but no pets are allowed in staff housing.
• Applicants with allergies to animals, dust, straw, grass, etc. are not encouraged to apply
