Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Performing general grounds and property maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and seasonal clean‑up
- Assisting with irrigation, landscaping features, and general outdoor upkeep
- Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and light utility vehicles
- Supporting basic mechanical upkeep and routine equipment maintenance
- Assisting with tree, brush, and debris removal and material hauling
- Maintaining walkways and outdoor areas, including snow and ice removal in winter conditions
- Keeping work areas, vehicles, and tools clean and organized
- Supporting team members and contractors as needed to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently
Education:
- Post‑secondary coursework or certification in horticulture, landscaping, environmental landscaping, or turf management an asset
- Horticulture Technician, Landscape Technician, or similar trade certificate strongly preferred
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable commuting to rural worksites
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Clean criminal background check
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or seasonal schedule changes
Experience:
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, labour, construction support, or similar outdoor work environments
- Past experience working in greenhouses an asset
- Experience operating small equipment or willingness to learn
Skills:
- Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Strong work ethic with a team‑oriented attitude
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools
- Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing priorities
Base Salary:$50,000 – 75,000 per year
- Compensation based on experience and qualifications
- Additional perks and benefits may be discussed during the interview process
Work Hours:
- Full‑time hours, typically Monday to Friday with occasional extended hours depending on operational need
Additional Notes:
- This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
