Job Description Fairmont Banff Springs is looking for an energetic individual to assist in the delivery of our Adventure & Experiences program through both the Youth Activities & the Outdoor Recreation Centre. Adventure & Experiences Animators should have a wide variety of talents but above all should have excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
Starting Rate: $21.27 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.49.

Duties Include:
Facilitate and present small and large scale activities independently or with other Adventure & Experiences Animators, as needed in a youth, family and /or adult environmentAssist in the set-up for all facilitated activities and execute clean-up duties upon completion of program, including cleaning and sanitizing of spaces and objects, before, during, and after the facilities open / activity ends.Interact with and supervise all children participating in youth activities programs, ages 3-12 years, by providing a safe environment so children of all ages will enjoy themselvesContribute new activity ideas and assist in the future development of Adventure & Experiences, as well as other programsAssist with the daily operation of the Adventure & Experiences Centre which includes booking rentals and selling products and amenities.Qualifications

Qualifications:
Current Standard First Aid with CPR “C” or greater is mandatoryMinimum two years recent experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced recreational / camp environment with children / familyPrevious experience facilitating / hosting many types of games, crafts, activities, interactive programming, etc and commanding the attention of childrenGraduate or student of an Outdoor Recreation/ Ecotourism, Tourism, Early Childhood Education or College of Piping program an assetMust be physically fit and able to run all activities in any weather including walking, hiking, playing sports (includes water sports)Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs and be on your feet for 8 hours a dayAdditional Information
