Transform lives as a Summer Outdoor Social Experience Guide with the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary. Create meaningful summer experiences for individuals on the spectrum.
In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in facilitating outdoor activities that encourage community engagement and personal growth. We are looking for passionate, dependable candidates who thrive outdoors and wish to support diverse individuals in recreational settings. Your responsibilities will include fostering social skills and nurturing an inclusive environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, facilitate, and support outdoor programs
• Engage with participants during camping and recreational activities
• Model positive behavior and social interaction
• Maintain participant safety and well-being during programs
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
Requirements:
• Candidates must be 18+ years
• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license required
• Relevant experience with neurodiversity highly desirable
• Must provide a clean Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
