Position: Wildlife Biologist Field Lead Opportunity
Make an impact as a Wildlife Biologist (Field Lead) with Onterris in northern Alberta. Lead field teams in conducting wildlife surveys and ensuring safety compliance on a rotational schedule.

In this permanent role, you'll oversee field crew operations and serve as the primary client contact at a mine site. Your responsibilities will include conducting surveys for various wildlife species, planning daily activities, and maintaining a focus on safety and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate bird surveys and nest sweeps

• Conduct risk assessments and enforce stop work authority

• Prepare the necessary plans and coordinate with clients

• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting

• Advocate for safety and compliance in field operations

Requirements:

•

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Biology, Ecology, or Environmental Science

• 4-7+ years of wildlife biology experience required

• Strong skills in wildlife identification and data collection

• Class 5 driver’s license and experience with field equipment

• Eligible for or registered as P.Biol. (ASPB)
