Your contributions will encompass feeding animals, maintaining habitats, and enforcing standards of care. This position offers a pathway to deepen your knowledge of animal welfare practices and protocols. You'll be a vital part of the team promoting conservation and educating the public about wildlife.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing and delivering diets for various species
• Ensure habitats are clean and meet organizational standards
• Report maintenance needs and observe animal behaviors
• Help implement habitat changes for animal enrichment
• Engage with visitors through educational talks on wildlife conservation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Zoology or related experience preferred
• Previous animal care experience beneficial
• Knowledge of conservation practices desired
• Must hold a Class 5 Alberta driver's license
• Strong commitment to team collaboration and safety
Contribute to meaningful conservation work and animal care at the Calgary Zoo.
