Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate General Practice Veterinarian (DVM) to join our team in Turlock, California. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality veterinary care, communicate effectively with clients, and work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, as well as the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

- Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Communicate and educate clients
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge
- Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
- Veterinary degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Team‑oriented work experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care
- Effective communication with both clients and staff
- Ability to handle pets with severe stress, illness, or pain with confidence and reassurance
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
- Clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
- Problem‑solving skills for high‑quality veterinary hospital management
- Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff
- Professionalism and constructive feedback within a veterinary team
- Business acumen related to veterinary hospital finances
- Understanding of ethical principles guiding patient decisions
- Commitment to continuing education and facilitation of others’ learning
